Travel Journal

Today I was at Jack in the Box for lunch. As I was sitting there after I ate my sandwhich, I was just comtemplating life and all my worries. I said the classic prayer of “Lord, help me!” And I looked up and out the window and I saw a sign. Out in the middle of a wide open grass field is a small sign. The small sign simply says “Trust the Lord”.

And the sign was not facing the street so that anyone driving by would see it. It was facing Jack in the Box so that only someone at Jack in the Box would see it. That was the weirdest thing.

And I asked myself, “Lord, could that be a sign?” And then I chuckled and thought … well, very literally speaking, it is a sign.
